Coach Jose & EBA FOUNDER
Hi parents and players! My name is Coach Jose Perez and I am excited to launch Epitome Basketball Training! I am from the valley and coached for 5 years over there, I moved to San Antonio to further my basketball career as I have been playing competitively for 13 years. The word Epitome was used by my late coach Dwight Coleman, he continues to inspire me every day. I believe I am the Epitome of hard work and dedication on and off the court. I want to continue Coach Coleman’s legacy by inspiring the next generation to unlock their true potential.

As a kid I always dreamed of playing at the college level and eventually for the NBA. As a freshman in college I had the privilege of my game being broadcasted on ESPN. My mom has always been my number one supporter and my motivation to be the best, so the thought of her being able to watch me play on TV keeps me going through all the ups and downs in my basketball career.

My favorite memory is when I helped guide my players to winning their first championship. Seeing the joy on their face brought joy to mine. Standing alongside teammates after a win brings feelings of accomplishment, confidence, and success. After experiencing this myself, I knew right away I wanted to help other kids reach this level.
